I think this picture is a good example of The Great Depression because in it, the African Americans are sitting on the side along with 2 other white kids and some kid is walking by with something in his hand. These kids all look dirty, tired and miserable. They must be sitting to form an idea of a way to get money. There are no parents around them so they must have been sent out by them to find money. Also, another way to tell this is during the early 1900's, is the car in the background. It's an older station wagon driven by people in this time era.

I think this represents an African Americans life during the Great Depression very well. It shows that African American’s were very poor during the depression. They were possibly much worse off than the average white American. This house is very dilapidated, and they all are very skinny.
